You'll also get zero recognition for it outside the tiny community.which is only irritating come promotion or OER/NCOER time. You'll personally affect history and world events - alone or with a partner. GSP does expose you to the weirdest happenings on earth and the people are some of the smartest folks in Army (mil and MICECP). O/Es will always suffer by way of Big Army leadership or KD expectations - even though those opportunities are rare. It's bullshit and wrong and you can't fight it. You could also be evaluated against regular soldiers by leaders you've never met and who don't know what you did. Operationally it's amazing and truly rewarding, administratively it's frustrating enough to outweigh the good because leaders who have no idea what you do or why you do it will inexplicably have a role in your operations and evaluations.
